Hello everyone!

In June a group of LSDMC (Local School Decision Making Committee) members, parents, community members and teachers met for two days to create a vision for our school that can inform our actions and help all of us keep on course. After two days we created three things:
a Vision Statement, a Mission Statement, and five Goal Statements that summarize what we want our school to be. We hope these will be guides for PRM for at least the next five years. They have been translated into action already in many ways throughout the school. The first way is that teachers have committed to working on four different committees, called "Correlates" that will help to make our Vision a reality. Parents are welcome to become part of these Correlates, and there is more information on them in the latest edition of the PTO News. If you have any comments or questions about the Vision, Mission or Goals, please speak with me, or one of our wonderful PTO co- presidents, Ruth Anne Wolfe and Gina Gambrel, and we will bring up your questions in LSDMC.

A big
thank you to everyone who made our first ever Spaghetti Dinner such a success! We couldn't have done it without each and every one of you who volunteered, made donations, baked, invited friends and neighbors, and most importantly, those who came to eat with us!

Please remember to check your child
s backpack every Wednesday for the blue folder containing important information from your child's teacher, the school, and the PTO. The Wednesday folder is an important way for all of us at PRM to communicate with parents and families.

Your involvement and support are key
to PRM's success, as well as to the development of your child. I look forward to partnering with you.

With Gratitude,
Maria McDonough, Principal
