Parent Teacher Organization (PTO)
What we do:
- We support the daily work of the school by fundraising for school projects and activities such as field trips, science fairs and special events.
- We assist with school events such as Pride Day, Open House and School Concerts.
- We help gather volunteers for programs such as Rosie Reader.
- We interface with the school principal, the LSDMC (Local School Decision Making Committee) and the ILT (Instructional Leadership Team) to voice concerns and help improve the school.
Meetings:
PTO Meetings are held @ 6:30pm - 8:00pm in the basement of the Pleasant Ridge Public Library at the school in the Media Center
Pleasant Ridge School Foundation:
The Foundation is a non-profit organization incorporated under Ohio Law. Status as a tax-exempt organization (501c3) is pending, so all contributions will be tax deductible (as far as the law allows). Its function is solely to support the school financially. The PTO has a broader mission of communication between parents and the school, enhancing school unity, and creating connectivity within the school. The Foundation reaches out into the community, drawing support in to the school. Money donated to the Foundation will be placed either in a general fund, or allocated to special projects, as the donors and board direct.
